Money, credit & households
How do monetary policy, cash and credit markets shape the opportunities and risks facing households?
Approach. Dynamic general-equilibrium models with inside and outside money and heterogeneous agents; models of competition in credit markets; simulations of mortgage payments under different paths of interest rates and inflation.
Why it matters. Interest rates, inflation and access to credit are where macroeconomic policy meets household budgets.
